History of the Gypsy Tour: In 1939, along with Half-Mile Racing, the Club added another activity by hosting its first "Gypsy Tour" to Mt. Rushmore, which was still under construction. Along with Mt. Rushmore, the Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Club is blessed to have many magnificent landmarks and historical site tours including Devil's Tower, the Black Hills, the Badlands, Needles Highway, Deadwood and much, much more. From Sturgis you can travel in any compass direction and find some of the best riding in the world. Would you like to be a part of history this year and ride with the Gypsies?

also at 10:00am.
--FlatTrack / Short Track--
Most of the racing that the Jackpine Gypsies enjoy during the year is on their Short Track at the Club Grounds. This is america at its best. As a bonus in 2009, we will host the Black Hills Mini-Sprint Tour on Friday, August 7th with a mix of motorcycle flat track heats and mini-sprint excitement.
Relish this slice of America as amateur riders from all over America race all out in each of our classes. This track allows you to get up close to the action. Hang out in the pits, enjoy a cold drink and feel the history.
--MotoCross--
The Air Force of the Club. These guys catch some serious air racing around their newly built course. See these riders travel up and around the Jackpine Mountain, through the trees and back again. Don't miss what some believe is the most popular racing style of today. One day only! Aug. 2nd, 10:00am at the Club Grounds. Come join the force and catch the excitement! | | |
